So last night Ben and I spent the entire night battling the eminent frigid weather trying tirelessly to preserve whatever crop that we could. Temperatures dropped to twenty degrees during the night and at 8 AM had only managed to climb to 25...GOOD GRIEF! No word yet on the extent of the damage, any fruit that had already set is gone, some of the blooms appear to be holding on but there is really no way to know the condition of the little fuzzy peach that's growing inside the flower. Right now, the only positive is the fact that they hadn't yet completely bloomed and anything that hasn't bloomed yet will, God willing, still turn into fruit. Only time will tell...

Good luck! I've heard that farmers have a special bond with God due to their reliance on his provision on weather, soil, and what not for their well-being.
